    1. By entering into the 2017 Asia Business Leaders Awards ("Awards"), the nominee will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") and to be bound by them. If the nominator is not the nominee, the nominator must ensure that the nominee has read and understood these Terms and Conditions and will procure the nominee’s agreement to be bound by them.
    2. All selection and judging processes of the Awards are undertaken by the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and DDI Asia/Pacific International, Ltd, and the Awards' panel of judges (collectively the "Judges"). Business News (Asia) LLP (trading as "CNBC Asia Pacific"), the sponsors (if any), the media partners and the official hotel hosting the Awards are not involved in these processes.
    3. The winner for each award category at the Awards will be presented with a trophy and/or any other prize, which CNBC Asia Pacific may determine in its sole and absolute discretion. CNBC Asia Pacific and/or its affiliates shall at their sole discretion, broadcast highlights from the Awards and profile the respective winners.
    4. The Judges shall, at their sole discretion, conduct the selection and judging process. The Judges shall have full discretion to:
      1. disqualify, at any stage of the Awards, any nominee whom they determine to be ineligible or unsuitable for any reason, without any liability or compensation; and/or
      2. revoke any prize or award accorded to any nominee for any reason without any liability or compensation.
      The Judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entertained.
    5. CNBC Asia Pacific does not make any representation or warranty, either express or implied, in respect of or in connection with the Awards and no other person has at any time been authorized to make any representation or warranty. No error, omission or misstatement in any document or in any statement made by CNBC Asia Pacific, the sponsors, the media partners, the official hotel and their respective related companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchises, advertising, and promotion agencies shall entitle any nominee to damages or compensation.
    6. By entering the Awards, the nominee represents and warrants that:
      1. all of the information (whether relating to themselves, their company or otherwise) which has or will be provided by the nominee or on the nominee’s behalf to CNBC Asia Pacific, the sponsors, the knowledge, research, marketing and media partners in connection with the Awards ("Information") is accurate, correct and free and clear of all third party rights (including but not limited to copyright); and
      2. they are fully entitled or, to the extent that the Information does not wholly belong to them, that they are authorized by the proprietor of the Information, to provide the Information in connection with and for the purposes of the Awards.
    7. The nominee:
      1. agrees and confirms that CNBC Asia Pacific is free to use or publish all or any part of the Information in any manner that it deems fit, for the purposes of the Awards, without compensation to the nominees;
      2. to the extent permitted by law, irrevocably waives any rights that they may have pursuant to the privacy (or similar) laws of any jurisdiction in relation to any Information or, to the extent that the Information does not wholly belong to the nominee, that the nominee has procured the waiver of such rights by the proprietor of the Information;
      3. irrevocably consents to CNBC Asia Pacific using (and/or permitting third parties to use) their name and/or likeness together with any statements made by them in any manner it deems fit for the purpose of the Awards (including without limitation, post Awards publicity), without compensation;
      4. agrees to indemnify, defend, release and hold CNBC Asia Pacific, the sponsors, the knowledge, research, marketing and media partners, their respective related corporations and/or affiliates and/or their respective directors, employees, servants, agents and/or contractors, harmless from any and all claims, costs, liabilities, judgments, expenses or damages (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) (compensatory, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise),
        1. they may incur due to any negligence, wrongful act or omission, or breach of the Terms and Conditions or any of the terms of this Consent and Waiver by me or any person acting on my behalf; and
        2. arising out of the Awards and/or the use of any prize awarded.
    8. CNBC Asia Pacific shall not be responsible or liable for any claims, loss or damage arising during or in connection with the Awards (including, without limitation, where such loss or damage is caused by breach of contract or negligence on the part of CNBC Asia Pacific, its related corporations and/or affiliates and/or their respective directors, employees, servants, agents and/or contractors).
    9. All rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to the Awards, the prize(s), any video and/or audio recording (including all constituent elements) and/or any document created by or on behalf of CNBC Asia Pacific in connection with, during or for the purposes of the Awards shall be and remain CNBC Asia Pacific’s sole and absolute property for any and all purposes whatsoever.
    10. All Information about the nominees collected in connection with the Awards will only be used in accordance with NBCUniversal's privacy policy located at http://www.nbcuniversal.com/privacy ("Privacy Policy") and for the following purposes:
      1. to administer the Award as set out in these Terms and Conditions;
      2. to select the winner of the Awards; and
      3. in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including the sending of electronic messages, without any consent of the nominees.
      Nominees' Information may be provided to third parties for the purpose of administering the Awards, selecting the winner of the Awards, and/or providing prizes. The nominee’s Information may be obtained by sending a written request to CNBC Asia Pacific via email (abla@cnbcasia.com), marked for the attention of CNBC Asia Pacific’s marketing team.
    11. These Terms and Conditions shall form the entire agreement between each nominee and CNBC Asia Pacific with relation to the nominee’s participation in the Awards. Where any provision of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, these Terms and Conditions will still be deemed valid and enforceable, to the exception of the provisions deemed invalid or unenforceable.
    12. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
